Page Layouts provide a template with pre-defined data fields and web parts to provide a consistent look for your page. 

Elementary School Template - Page Layouts

The following page layouts are included in the Elementary School Template

  • Homepage: Used only for the main homepage of the website.  See Homepage Basic Information Page for details on this page.
  • Inner: Used for the majority of the pages on the different subsites. 
  • EL Staff Profile: This is the default page layout for individual staff profile pages.  See Staff Profile Page Instructions for editing instructions.
  • Activities & Clubs: Provides contact info & meeting info sections.  An option to be used for page under the "Activities & Clubs" subsite.

 

MS/K8 Template - Page Layouts

The following page layouts are included in the MS/K8 Template

  • Nakos Home: Used only for the main homepage of the website.  See Homepage Basic Information Page for details on this page.
  • Nakos Default: Used for the majority of the pages on the different subsites.
  • Staff Profile:  This is the default page layout for individual staff profile pages.  See Staff Profile Page Instructions for editing instructions.
  • Department Page: Used for all the pages under the "Acadmeics & Counseling" subsite.
  • Athletics: Provides format for selecting between Intramural & Interscholastic sports as well as the basic information of the sport including season dates and coaches contact info.
  • Activities: Provides format for displaying information on school clubs/activities including

 

High School Template - Page Layouts

The following page layouts are included in the High School Template 

  • HS Main with Hero Image: Used primarily for Academics and Athletics pages.  Includes data fields and zones that allow you to move webparts above or below the announcements.  Note the Announcements webpart cannot be moved.
  • HS Main without Hero Image​: Same as HS Main but without large image at top of page.
  • Staff Profile HS:  This is the d​efault page layout for individual staff profile pages.  Find editing instructions on the Staff Profile Instruction page.
  • Staff Directory:  Used only for the staff directory pages.  These are set up when your site is inititally deployed and schools do not edit.
  • HS Home:  Used only for the homepage.  Schools may close and/or move webpart blocks to customize the page.​
  • HS Generic:  Used for most general information pages.
    • You MUST add a Rollup-Image that is displayed on the "top" category page for the site. It will not appear on the page.  If you want to add an image to a HS Generic page layout, add it in a Content Editor webpart OR change to the HS Main w/hero Image page layout.​
  • Activities & Clubs:  Used for individual club/activity pages.

All Data Fields for Content Search require a corresponding Content Search web part. These are set up on pages that are part of the original template.  You will have to add these Content Search web parts only when creating a new page.  View the Editing Pages Instructions to see how to move Web Parts around on the page.  View the Hompage Basics for more details on the High School Template HS Main Layout.

Data Fields​ for Content Search​

  • Rollup (Hero) Image: Required when using the HS Main w/image layout.  
  • Title: (required) Displays on hero image
  • Subtitle: (optional) Displays on hero image
  • HeaderButtonLink: (optional) URL for HeaderButton
  • HeaderButtonDescription:​​​(optional) Text for Header Button t- displays on hero image
  • Webpage Link: (optional) URL for WebPage 
  • WebPage Description: (optional) Text for WebPage link - displays below hero image
  • Payment Link: (optional) URL for Payment
  • Payment Description:​ (optional)

Additional Fields

  • Page Header:  (optional)  Page Title displays at top of page.
  • Overview: Text displays on the page and on the "top" category page for the site.  Text should be limited to 1-2 sentences.  Enter additional text in the Page Content area.
  • Page Content:  Standard text and image area.
